Ring Out The Old, Ring In The New!
Happy 2021 From your old friends Tom & Andy! For our first show of the (long awaited) New Year we invited Dylan Sevey back to the show to discuss an overlooked aspect of Paul's solo career: Instrumentals.
Easily the most prolific of all ex-Beatles in terms of instrumentals, Paul has amassed over 30 officially released instrumentals in his 51 year solo career.
Tom, Andy & Dylan also discuss many songs that have "fragments" or scant lyrical content and whether they should be classified as instrumentals.
What are some of your favourite Macca instrumentals? Tell us below!

Episode 113: 'Best Friend'
Saturday Dec 19, 2020
Saturday Dec 19, 2020
John Lennon: "I thought Paul's was rubbish!"
Paul McCartney: "He says the only thing I did was Yesterday and he knows that's wrong!"
Hi Hi Hi! 2Legs is back and this week we welcome Antony Rotunno (Glass Onion: On John Lennon Podcast) to the show! This week we take a look at the relationship between McCartney and Lennon throughout the 1970s. This installment is the first of a two part (potentially 3) series. This episode we discuss the historical narratives that were present in their relationships in 1970 and 1971 as reported on by contemporary sources from the time (Time, New Musical Express, Melody Maker, Rolling Stone).
History has shown that this time period was the most contentious in their post-Beatles breakup with conflict over "McCartney" release/Paul's High Court case to dissolve the Beatles in December 1970 just for starters! Antony, Tom & Andy all reflect on the "brotherhood" bond the two shared despite the ugliness following the Beatles bust up.

Episode 112: "Up Close 1992": A Recollection
Saturday Dec 12, 2020
Saturday Dec 12, 2020
"Crash, bang wallop, I'm a lover again. I've got my eyes on the road and I'm feeling no pain!'
Welcome back 2Legs faithful!
To get the Off The Ground promotion started an MTV special called 'Up Close' was filmed on Dec 10th and 11th and tapped at the old Ed Sullivan Theatre (before being renovated for David Letterman) where Paul McCartney played his first notes in America! The special was a showcase for songs from his new album, songs dusted off from his Beatles, Wings days as well as a warm up for his 'New World Tour!'
This week 2Legs is proud to have three friends (Steve, Vinnie, and Joe Mayo) on the show to talk about their once in a lifetime experience seeing Paul and his band up close and personal! From how they got their tickets, hearing new songs, F bombs, and hearing Beatles classics never played live before!

Saturday Dec 05, 2020
Saturday Dec 05, 2020
December is here and the mood is right!
This week we had the extreme pleasure to interview and speak with Drummer, Jerry Marotta. Jerry whose credits are nothing short of legendary started his career working with Orleans ('Still The One'), Hall & Oates, and a lengthy and historic stint with Peter Gabriel from 1977 to 1986. Jerry performed on the first four self titled Gabriel albums. During his time with Gabriel our kid recruited him for "Press To Play" in the summer of 1985.
Jerry takes us down memory lane with some tremendous anecdotes, his memory and fondness for Linda and how it was working with Paul at Hog Hill.

Episode 110: "The Bruce McMouse Show" (A Review)
Saturday Nov 28, 2020
Saturday Nov 28, 2020
"Oh hallo, how are you? Good. Well, er... you're about to see a film of a live concert we made. We the "Wings"...
And with that introduction we're off! Episode 110 of this edition of 2Legs features Tom & Andy dissecting "The Bruce McMouse Show."
The film was produced and shot during the 1972 Wings Over Europe tour and featured Wings performing intercut with animation. Other scenes of the film feature animation and live action together. The project was worked on for some 18 months before finally being shelved in 1974. It finally saw an official release (Blu Ray & DVD) as part of the Red Rose Speedway Archive Collection in December 2018.
Tom & Andy discuss the origins of the idea of the film, production and post production work that was done and ultimately why it was scrapped. It remains one of the true mysteries of McCartney's solo career.

Episode 109: "New"
Saturday Nov 21, 2020
Saturday Nov 21, 2020
"And then we were New..."
This latest installment of 2Legs features a "New" up and coming Podcaster to the Beatles world. Mr. Ethan Alexanian (Fans On The Run) Podcast joins Tom and Andy and tells us a bit why he started his show. We also flip the script and put Ethan on the spot on how he first became a fan of all things Beatles.
Ethan, Tom & Andy also analyse Paul's 2013 album NEW and do another round of "Play or Skip" and also discuss the multiple formats as well as the bonus tracks that appeared on later editions. The trio also have a healthy discussion on where NEW ranks in terms of recent efforts and also how it stacks up against the now 2.5 year old Egypt Station.
We hope you enjoy this one as much as we had making it.
