Saturday May 22, 2021
The Ram 50th Anniversary Buzz continues this week on 2Legs!
Tom and Andy welcome Musician Timmy Sean to the show this week. Timmy is one of the many musicians that were a part of the "Ram On" 50th Anniversary tribute album and sings killer lead vocals on 'Smile Away' and 'Monkberry Moon Delight'.
Timmy gives us his background in music and early days of Beatles/McCartney fandom. He also explains the process of how the tribute album came up working with Fernando Perdomo and Denny Seiwell remotely to create these excellent cover versions!
Timmy also recently released a "Powerpop Rock Opera" solo album titled "A Tale From The Other Side" (which just has the coolest 80s retro packaging to it!) which we both highly recommend!

Episode 128: "McGear"
Saturday May 15, 2021
Saturday May 15, 2021
Tom and Andy are back after a few weeks off and our topic today is not a Paul McCartney record!
Paul's brother Mike McCartney who later changed his surname to McGear was is also musician and enjoyed some local UK minor success with his group The Scaffold in the 60s.
In the mid 1974 he finally released his own solo album, simply titled "McGear" and the record was made with the help of our kid and Wings! It is really a fascinating listen and in the opinion of many fans and reviewers it's considered the "lost" Wings album of 1974.
Joining Tom & Andy for Episode 128 is Tony Traguardo (Fab4Free4All Podcast) who previously spoke to us regarding the McCartney/Costello partnership last year. Tony had a chance to interview Mike in the 1980s and was a big fan of the record going back to the 1970s.
Like McGear? Never heard it? Let us know!

Episode 127: Oobu Joobu
Saturday Apr 24, 2021
Saturday Apr 24, 2021
In the summer of 1995 Paul hosted his own radio show titled "Oobu Joobu"which was syndicated across the USA. The show was a mixed bag of influential music from his & the Beatles past, reggae music, interview clips, a section on Linda's cooking the aptly titled "Cook of the House". Most importantly it contained the first commercial airing of many McCartney demos/outtakes and soundchecks.
This week on 2Legs Tom and Andy are joined by their in-house artist Ethan Alexanian as they discuss their favorite portions of the show as they re-cap the 15 episodes. They also discuss the frankenstein aspect of how the series is represented on the Flaming Pie singles from 1997.
Ethan and Andy also discuss the start of their new show "Anything But The Beatles".
Did you listen to the show originally in 1995? Was it as good as you remembered? Worth a revisit? or nah? Tell us below!

Episode 125: "Seize The Day"
Saturday Apr 10, 2021
Saturday Apr 10, 2021
Two brand new McCartney albums in just a little over 2 years.
This is a rarity post-1986 in Macca's catalog and hasn't happened since Chaos and Memory Almost Full.
Egypt Station and McCartney III are fine records. 2018-2020 has been a prolific period for Paul. (Books, 2 Archive Sets, Suitcases and just a few coloured vinyl!)
This week Tom and Andy pick their favourite tracks from Egypt Station and McCartney III to compile a "what if" album. With McCartney III being a by-product of the pandemic it is interesting to see how this album will stand up as time marches on.
What say you? McCartney III or Egypt Station. Or neither!
Let us know and always "Seize The Day"

"Piece of Cake!"
Tom and Andy were fortunate to be able speak to Denny Seiwell and Fernando Perdomo yesterday on the forthcoming release "Ram On: The 50th Anniversary Tribute to Paul & Linda McCartney's RAM" which will be released on 14th May on Cherry Red Records.
Fernando and Denny give us an overview of the project's origins and just a handful of the over 100 talented musicians that are featured on this record. Denny also shared some terrific stories during his Wings days.
During our conversation it was very evident to us that Denny and Fernando invested the passion and care to create a new modern feel for this music while paying homage and respect to the the original album with Paul and Linda.

Choba B CCCP Vs. Run Devil Run!
Episode 124 of 2Legs features an interesting conversation that we had with Mr. David "Ghosty" Wills, DJ at WFDU 89.1.
David's show "Vintage Rock and Pop Show" features a playlist of music from 1945-75. He is well versed in the 1950s music that Paul chose to cover on both of these albums.
Tom, Andy and Dave discuss the bands Paul assembled for both albums, why they were recorded, where McCartney was at professionally and personally at the time as well as subsequent releases and promotional activities for both.
We also consider should Lennon's 1973 "Rock and Roll" be compared to either of these.
Which cover album do you prefer? Choba or Run Devil Run.
