Episode 178: John Blaney (Part 2)
Saturday Aug 27, 2022
Saturday Aug 27, 2022
Very happy to have John Blaney (Author, The Songs He Was Singing, We All Shine On, Soul Man again this week on 2Legs.
John was first on 2Legs back in 2019. John tells us about his roots, working in record shops and even had chance encounters with George and Macca!
He explains why he felt the need books on discographies that just focused on solo careers was needed. At the time of publishing of his first book The Songs He Was Singing there was no single dedicated text to just McCartney solo's career. He followed this up 2 years later with one on Lennon. He later expanded the McCartney book into a series of 4 volumes and then later authoring 2 books on George.
We were very happy to have John on again and he showed off some true rare memorabilia. We were a bit jealous! Thanks John!

Episode 177: ”Beatles Documentaries” (Recorded at Chicago Fest)
Saturday Aug 20, 2022
Saturday Aug 20, 2022
A special one this week. Our first ever crossover episode with two other excellent podcasts/videocasts.
This week, Andy is joined by Kit O'Toole (Author, Lecturer, Podcaster,) and co-host of Talk More Talk: A Solo Beatles Videocast and Ed Chen (Co-Host) of When They Was Fab podcast. The three amigos were all at the Chicago Fest and decided to record one together. We recorded this on Saturday 8/13/22.
Our panel was chosen for the Fest to represent Beatles-related podcasters. (Yes, I wish it could've been all about Paul but concessions had to be made!) We discussed the evolution of Beatles documentaries bookended by Let It Be (1970) and Get Back (2021) and various documentaries (official and otherwise) that fall between this time period. Specifically, the conversation centers around what documentary each co-host found as they started or began their musical discovery of The Beatles.
Missing the other leg Tom on this one but in 2023 the 2Legs will be at both fests to record and go live (hopefully).
Thank you Kit and Ed,
AN-

Episode 175:Year In Review: 1975 (w/Madinger & Easter)
Saturday Jul 30, 2022
Saturday Jul 30, 2022
We are very happy to have two of the best back on this week!
On this week's episode we start a new series called "Year In Review" where we will pick one year in Paul's career and have Chip Madinger and Mark Easter (Eight Arms To Hold You and Lennonology books) join Tom & Andy to discuss and analyse a given year in McCartney's career.
For our first one we chose the epic year of 1975. Wings coming into their most well known era and Paul's at the top of his game. We discuss a 1975 timeline, the formal dissolution of the Beatles, what if John joined Paul in New Orleans, Venus and Mars being recorded and the UK and Australian Tours which took place in September and November of 75.
We enjoyed this and looking forward to doing more.
Have a specific year you'd like to see discussed with Chip and Mark? Let us know in the comments! Tom & Andy Pick up a digital copy of "Eight Arms To Hold You" at www.lennonology.com

Episode 174: ”I’ve Had Enough”
Saturday Jul 23, 2022
Saturday Jul 23, 2022
Ever Experience Macca Burnout?
One infamous YouTuber did and on this week's episode of 2Legs he explains why he jumped off the Paul bandwagon for a while.
YouTuber CanadianStudmuffin aka Larry Graves joins us this week to discuss what turned him off Paul's music and when he jumped back on board. Our discussion also went into rock groups performing live today still, (Andy having seen Jon Anderson of Yes recently) and how the live acts that still carry the banner of a group even tho there may be 1 or none original members still in it.
We thank Larry for his time and congratulate him for being a prolific YouTuber for over 15 years!

The Frenemy Returns! This week in 2Legs, that other Paul McCartney Podcast, yeah him - none other than Sam Whiles (Paul Or Nothing Podcast) joins Tom and Andy as they reconstruct 3 albums:
Red Rose Speedway
Egypt Station

This wasn't too hard for Andy (for one of the albums, can you guess?) How would you or would you even reconstruct any of these albums? and Egypt Station only being 4 years old can rightfully be considered classic? We do! Let us know!
