Episode 175:Year In Review: 1975 (w/Madinger & Easter)
Saturday Jul 30, 2022
Saturday Jul 30, 2022
We are very happy to have two of the best back on this week!
On this week's episode we start a new series called "Year In Review" where we will pick one year in Paul's career and have Chip Madinger and Mark Easter (Eight Arms To Hold You and Lennonology books) join Tom & Andy to discuss and analyse a given year in McCartney's career.
For our first one we chose the epic year of 1975. Wings coming into their most well known era and Paul's at the top of his game. We discuss a 1975 timeline, the formal dissolution of the Beatles, what if John joined Paul in New Orleans, Venus and Mars being recorded and the UK and Australian Tours which took place in September and November of 75.
We enjoyed this and looking forward to doing more.
Have a specific year you'd like to see discussed with Chip and Mark? Let us know in the comments! Tom & Andy Pick up a digital copy of "Eight Arms To Hold You" at www.lennonology.com

Ever Experience Macca Burnout?
One infamous YouTuber did and on this week's episode of 2Legs he explains why he jumped off the Paul bandwagon for a while.
YouTuber CanadianStudmuffin aka Larry Graves joins us this week to discuss what turned him off Paul's music and when he jumped back on board. Our discussion also went into rock groups performing live today still, (Andy having seen Jon Anderson of Yes recently) and how the live acts that still carry the banner of a group even tho there may be 1 or none original members still in it.
We thank Larry for his time and congratulate him for being a prolific YouTuber for over 15 years!

Joining us this week on 2Legs is the writer of the magazine Glenn Greenberg. Glenn is a free lance writer who previously published magazines on John Lennon and Star Wars.

This wasn't too hard for Andy (for one of the albums, can you guess?) How would you or would you even reconstruct any of these albums? and Egypt Station only being 4 years old can rightfully be considered classic? We do! Let us know!

Episode 171: 50th Anniversary of First 3 Wings Singles (1972)
Saturday Jun 25, 2022
Saturday Jun 25, 2022
Another 50th Anniversary. God we're all getting old aren't we these days with these anniversaries!
Nonetheless, another Macca milestone in 2022 is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the First 3 Wings singles which all happened in 1972. We're early with one of them but figured what the heck. This week on 2Legs Andy discuss 'Give Ireland Back To The Irish', 'Mary Had A Little Lamb'/'Little Woman Love' and 'Hi Hi Hi/C Moon'.
Their legacy in the McCartney canon. We also discuss if they would have fared better if they were just released and billed as "Paul McCartney" and not Wings, coming off the heels of Wild Life.
Anyone out there buy these at the time of release? Were you impressed or just meh? Let us know. Till next time! Tom & Andy

Episode 170: Happy 80th Macca! (Ranking The Albums)
Saturday Jun 18, 2022
Saturday Jun 18, 2022
80!
On this special day, we finally ranked Paul's albums from least to best. We chose 26 albums. We did not include live, classical, or Firemen albums.
We included Choba BCCP, Run Devil Run and Kisses On The Bottom. This was our longest show yet! At 3 hours it's a marathon but we felt on this occasion it was ok to a bit over the top about our favourite guy!
We are blessed he has continued to make new music and thankful for everything he has given us.
Long Live Paul! Tom & Andy

Episode 169: NEMS and Beatles Merchandising (With Author Terry Crain)
Saturday Jun 11, 2022
Saturday Jun 11, 2022
Hi 2Legs Faithful! This time we focus on an episode that is not 100% Paul centric but Beatles focused.
Beatles Merchandising was BIG business in the 1960s. The American Company SELTAEB produced many between 1964-1966 when the marketplace for this merchandise (dolls, "Flip Your Wig Game, Beatles Turntable) etc. NEMS (Northern End Music Stores) was Brian Epstein's family company and the record store was originally located in Whitechapel, City Centre, Liverpool.
This week on 2Legs we are joined by Terry Crain who wrote the book "NEMS and the Business of Selling Beatles Merchandise in the US between 1964-1966". Terry was recently featured as a guest author panel at the NY/NJ Fest and will be appearing at the Chicago Fest in August as well. Terry gives us an overview of this topic, how he met collectors across the USA who kept museums in their homes of these products.
They are shown on display in this episode and photographs can be found in Terry's wonderful book. Here is the link: NEMS & Beatles Merchandising 1964-1966
Terry is a wealth of knowledge in this field that gets overlooked and we thank him for his appearance on 2Legs
